Ning Thing #7: Profile Privacy
An update to Ning features ...
Our network is public -- open for viewing by anyone. But you can now manage access to your own profile page. Just go to "Settings" in the upper right and choose who can view your profile:
*anyone who visits this social network
*only members of this social network
*only members of this socal network that you designate as your friend.
(If you want no-one to be able to view your profile page, limit viewing to only your friends ... and then don't allow anyone to be your friend. But what fun would that be??)
Even with these privacy controls, continue to follow the basic rule of the internet: only post those things that you don't mind others seeing. Just like in the "real world", secrets don't really remain secrets for long.
