A Community of the Lord's Faithful People Living in God's Amazing Grace

I've been away and am catching up on my email so I read a series of daily devotions all at once. The message that stuck with me came from the words of Jesus "When 2 or more are gathered in my name I am with you"(Matt. 18:20), and "Father I pray that they may be one" (John 17:21).

Why "two or more"? It's about relationships! Jesus is with us when we are in community. When we are in community we can let go of our egos. When we let go of our egos, we make room for The Creator.

Why "that they may be one"? It's a reminder that although we are different (God loves diversity!) we are not called to abandon our differences and become the same...it means retaining our God given distinctions as we come together as one community. A community that worships a Creator who loves all...not just some.
